The combination of the advancements in drone technology, 3D scanning, photogrammetry, NeRF technology, 3D modeling and GIS have presented the construction industry with a whole new set of workflows to enable more efficient construction processes on site. From capturing better, more accurate existing conditions in preconstruction, to communicating progress onsite in construction and all the way to deviation analysis to compare as designed to as built processes on site, drones have opened up a whole new realm of possibilities in construction. Yet, these are early days and most firms have yet to fully adopt these technologies, this panel of technical experts will look at the possibilities that exist today for drones in construction, while also looking to the future to predict what might come next!
